So you’re in the market for a new water bottle. Congrats on making a great decision! Reusable water bottles are great not only because they help out the environment, but they also help you save money.
If you’ve done your research (or not, we aren’t judging) you might notice that there are reusable plastic, stainless steel, and glass water bottle options. Typically, BPA-free plastic water bottles come in a variety of configuration and size options. Stainless steel bottles are great for keeping drinks cold for hours, and glass water bottles are really for the purists that don’t want to drink from plastic. Below are some of the key benefits and reasons why people purchase glass bottles.
Drink Pure, Feel Pure is what we like to say about our Purity Glass Water Bottle. It’s made completely of glass, food grade stainless steel and silicone (there’s no plastic parts).
Additionally, glass is made from materials found in nature, typically sand. So there is no need to worry about the potential of chemicals getting into your delicious beverage.
2. Easy to Clean.
Simply throw it in the dishwasher, and you are good to go.
3. Essential Oils
If you’re into adding essential oils to your water, then glass is definitely the option for you. If you aren’t familiar, essential oils are starting to grow in popularity and are plant-based (Nature!) additives that can have many benefits for the body and mind.
We brought an essential oils expert into the office to learn more and one of the things that we found out is that some of the oils, mainly citrus ones, can deteriorate plastic due to their acidity. Therefore, the glass bottle is really the most ideal.
4. Look Good, Feel Good
Last but not least, a glass water bottle is a great fashion accessory. The chic design means you won’t be shy about showing it off. Whether you’re at lunch with your friends or your next fitness class, you’ll be carrying it with you everywhere you go!
The only negative of glass that it’s not as durable as stainless steel or plastic. If you’re really hard on your products, then glass might not be the option for you because…it’s made of glass. We do put a protective silicone sleeve around all of our glass bottles to help give them some padding if you were to knock them over, but we wouldn’t recommend purposely dropping them to test their limits.Back to Blog Home
